A living will is a legal document that allows you to state your wishes for end-of-life medical care in case you are not able to communicate and/or make any decisions.

A Living Will is a legal document that communicates to the doctors what end-of-life care and life-sustaining treatment you would like to receive if you are not able to communicate your decision and/or make any decisions (i.e. are in a coma). It provides clear instructions for taking care of you during an emergency.
